First time to Vegas? Don't rent a car. You don't need itt. The airport is just a 5 - 10 minute drive to the hotel. The airport offers shuttles for $15 for roundtrip. Catch a taxi to the hotel and once you get there, everything you'll need is within walking distance. Even if you plan on seeing the many sites on the Vegas strip, most visitors take a taxi or walk.

Driving?

Many officers are able to get a department vehicle (and most importantly a city gas card) to attend the conference.

• Jefferson, Wisconsin to Las Vegas - 26 hours 1750 miles - just in case you were wondering, part of our staff makes the drive. They generally leave about a week before the event.
