
Ramon “Mundo” Mendoza
was born in East Los Angeles he maintained a criminal lifestyle for 19-years. During his 17-years behind bars, he became a shot caller for the Mexican Mafia. Mendoza claimed responsibility for the execution of over twenty gang rivals with over two dozen done by his own hand. He is most well for becoming the chief witness against the EME’s titular “Godfather”, Joseph “Pegleg Joe” Morgan. Joe was convicted of First Degree Murder and would never again see the free world. Having abandon his evil ways, Ramon’s life has gone full circle. Leaving the bowels of hell, he successfully abandon his criminal lifestyle 22-years ago. Ramon would now like to break his silence. His goal is to utilize his past criminal experience to assist, inform, educate, and share intelligence with members of the law enforcement community and those involved in the endeavor to understand the criminal mind. It is his hope that his information will be used to combat the criminal activity which permeates our communities.

Ken Whitley
is a 30-year law enforcement veteran who retired from the southern California Garden Grove Police Department. During his career he worked a variety of assignments including narcotics, robbery homicide, SWAT and patrol. Whitley has authored several books and magazine articles on drug investigations, parolee contacts, DUI and prison gangs. He has also consulted such television shows as Law & Order and the West Wing. He actively assists various law enforcement agencies with active and cold case investigations.

Timothy M. Brennan & Robert Ladd
Tim is a 24-year law enforcement veteran of the Compton Police Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Robert is a 23-year veteran of the Compton Police Department and Garden Grove Police Department. Both have been working as gang investigators since 1989, where they have both witnessed and investigated gang activity. They have been involved in the investigations of several known rap artist includig Marion "Suge" Knight, Michael "Harry-O" Harris, Patrick Johnson, David "DJ Quick" Black, Eric "Easy E" Wright, Calvin "Snoop Dog" Broadus, Eric "Lil E" Wright and Jayceon "the Game" Taylor, Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace, among others. They have also been first hand witnesses to the 1992 "Rodney King" riots in Los Angeles and Compton, the Blood/Crip Truce of 1992 the Mexican Mafia Edict of 1993 and the gang related murders of Compton Police Officers Burrell and MacDonald in Compton in 1993. tim is currently assigned as a Gang Investigator in Compton on loan to LAPD Robbery/Homicide Division. Robert is currently a Gang Investigator for Garden Grove PD.

Sergeant Richard Valdemar
retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in 2004 after a 33-year career. He devoted most of his service to combating gangs. For the last 20-years he worked several assignments including supervising the Detective Division, Major Crimes Bureau and the Prison Gang Unit. He was one of the original twelve deputies selected in 1978 to found out develop what gew to be the department's first anti-gang unit known as Operation Safe Streets. He has worked a variety of assignments including patrol and gang suppression assignments in Los Angeles and his hometown, Compton. Before joining LASD in 1970, he served as a military police officer with tours in Vietnam and Fort Huachuca, AZ. In 1995 he served as an export witness for the prosecution for the federal R.I.C.O. case against the leadership of the Mexican Mafia prison gang. Richard Valdemar is a well known gang expert who has provided training throughout the nation. He has also provided technical assistance for several movies and continues to work on projects to help the many professionals dedicated to combating the gang problem.
