Gang Name: Write about each gang in your city. Here are some things to keep in mind. Do not use inflammatory language that either glamorizes or derogates a gang. Include as much information as possible. If you were a school teacher and Jose just transferred to your school from Modesto, California and he is claiming to be a gang member, what information would you want to know about that gang? What if you were a police officer and you were investigating someone for a robbery and all you knew is your suspect is affiliated with a gang from Elkhart, Indiana. What information would you want to know about that gang? Are they known for committing similar type offenses? (Do not list specific names of members, unless it’s a matter of public record.) Remember this information is open for all to see, so don't post any confidential or law enforcement sensitive information.

List some phone numbers of LOCAL resources. List phone numbers of gang prevention programs, job development programs, probation/parole, tattoo removal programs, etc. Think of what resources a parent in this city would need for dealing with a troubled child. What phone numbers would a homicide detective want if he had to call your city about a local gang member. We suggest that you do no list any personal phone numbers or specific names. Even if Officer Ramirez is your city's resident gang expert, don't publish his name and/or phone number on this website without his permission.
